Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?
We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us or talk with an usher or greeter when you visit.
When are services?Sunday worship is at 7:45 am, 9:00 am, 11:15 am, & 6:00 pm for
The Wilderness in the Cathedral. (September through May). We also have weekday services and other special times of worship throughout the year. More about services
What should I wear?We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. It's not uncommon to see people in casual clothing, while others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.
How do I get to Saint John's Cathedral?Saint John's Cathedral is located at 1350 Washington Street at the corner of 14th Avenue and Washington Street in Denver's historic Capitol Hill neighborhood. The main doors of the Cathedral face onto 14th Avenue.
Where should I park?General and handicapped parking is available in front of the Cathedral's Welcome Center at 1350 Washington Street. Additional general parking is located north of 14th Avenue behind Argonaut Liquors with entrances on Washington and Clarkson Streets. Street parking is also available on the blocks around the Cathedral.
Where do my children go?Children are welcome at all our services, and we also offer Children’s Chapel for the first part of the service at 9:00 am in the Saint Francis Chapel. Ushers and Greeters will direct you to our children's area. The Nursery is open for children up to age 3 from 8:30 am to 12:45 for Sunday morning services and again for The Wilderness service at 6:00 pm. Also, parents are always welcome to join us in our classrooms at any time.
Am I expected to put money in the offering? If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Saint John's Cathedral your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving to Saint John's. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can give online easily here.
